Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing
Support and therapy sessions to help young people build resilience, improve mental strength, and build positive connections.
Nurturing friendships, fun, and growth: Discover our youth groups for a safe and supportive space.
There’s loads of things to get involved in at the YI Youth Project and throughout the week we run different projects including our Community Youth Space and Young Persons Peer Support Group.
Here you’ll find a safe space to be, where you’ll have fun and be involved. We never assume that we know what’s best for you, but we pride ourselves on offering you opportunities to explore new activities, and learn new skills.
Our groups evolve each year, offering tailored support such as LGBTQ+ groups, art classes, or gaming sessions, based on the needs of our young people and available funding. Contact us to find out more about our current groups.
Through our youth groups, young people connect with mentors—both older peers and youth workers—who offer guidance, support, and encouragement in a safe, welcoming environment.
We organise exciting days out, from biking on Millport to museum visits, and activism marches to give our young people the chance to explore new places, learn about history and different cultures, and engage with social causes.
Young people build lasting friendships, improving their social skills and reducing feelings of isolation.
Through activities and mentorship, young people develop new interests, boost self-esteem, and gain a sense of accomplishment.
The safe, supportive environment at YI helps young people navigate challenges, offering mental health support and fostering emotional resilience.
